A nice trip indeed in the eastern part of the chianti region, between
relaxing small roads, churches, wineyards. The hills are higher and are quite
mountains: the San Michele is 892 meters high and can be a little cooler in the
summer than the low hills. The panorama change continuosly during the way and
have the view of Panzano from Barberino and once in Panzano you have the view of
Volpaia and Radda in Chianti.
How
to reach Lamole-Vignamaggio
The
shortest way is going first to San Donato in Poggio,
than take for La Piazza and go to Panzano, from the center of Panzano take the
small road to Cannatoio and follow the roads on the map, you arrive first to
Lamole and then pass through Vignamaggio. Once there you are at few distance
from the San Michele mountain Natural Park
